The nomination period for the GESSA executive officer positions has ended and we are glad to officially announce the new GESSA executive committee:
Chair: Brian Chang
Treasurer: Kerry Girvan
Secretary (Internal Affairs Officer): Kathryn Komorowski
Research and Travel Fund Officer: Ian Rice
External Affairs Officer: Emily Stewart
Social Officer: Coreen Jones; Subcommittee: Laura Hartley
Advocacy Officer: Kristi Rudmik The next General Meeting will be announced shortly and we would like to warmly welcome all MES students to attend. To have an official meeting GESSA constitution requires that 15 MES students attend each General Meeting. We would like to encourage all MESers to attend the first meeting to ensure that we have a successful upcoming year with lots of GESSA events. We hope to see you all soon at the next GM and we wish you all the best for the upcoming school year! |

At the Tea Time on Thursday there will be a couple of GESSA executives talking with people about getting involved with GESSA either through meetings or become a representative as we are looking for new executive members. Keep your eyes open for the time and place on the listserve. If you are interested in becoming one of the GESSA representatives, send us an email with the position that you are interested in. |

ZigZag Gallery Travel Photo Exhibit - Deadline Extended!!
Gessa is happy to announce we will be sponsoring a Travel Photo Exhibit in the ZigZag Gallery, Fes Lounge. Deadline for submissions is October 3, 2008. Volunteers are needed to assist with the project. Please email photos@gessa.ca if you're interested. |
